About The Festival
The Tahoe Joy Festival is your FREE, all-day benefit music festival destination at Commons Beach in Tahoe City, California. Experience a family-friendly atmosphere filled with live music from regional bands and youth performers. Explore offerings from over 30 local California artists, makers, non-profits, plus enjoy various food and beverage trucks right by Lake Tahoe.
Presented by the Joy Foundation (Tahoe), the festival supports local non-profits – the 2025 beneficiary is The Tahoe Truckee School of Music. Conceived by Matt Axton and inspired by his father Hoyt Axton's iconic hit "Joy to the World," the Tahoe Joy Festival is dedicated to bringing more joy to the Tahoe City community through music, art, and connection.
