Join musical legacy artist Matt Axton (son of Hoyt Axton) along with Grand Ole Country Bunker as they bring a new crop of the best original Americana artists to the City of Angels each month. From bluegrass to folk to southern rock and everything in between, Americana Joy takes great pride In creating a free community based showcase that gives a high quality platform to local, regional and touring independent musicians.

With her retro soul meets indie twang style, independent artist Ali Angel is carving a distinct niche in the LA music scene. Her songwriting echoes classic influences like Sheryl Crow, yet her voice and presence are unmistakably her own. Since launching her artist project, Ali has earned editorial placements from Spotify’s “The New Retro,” “Fresh Finds,” “Feel Good Dinner” and Apple Music’s “New in Alternative” for her songs “Play Pretend” and “Hold”. She’s received attention from radio stations including 88.5 The SoCal Sound and 88.9 KXLU and her songs have been featured on prominent shows like, “Tulsa King” on Paramount Plus. Set to arrive next January, Angel’s debut full-length album Is This Really Happening? combines her warm vintage sound with a modern indie touch, while lyrically tapping into vulnerable topics like sexuality, mental health, and self-discovery.

Their songs explore self-discovery, vulnerability, and the quiet strength of femininity, creating an intimate sonic landscape that invites listeners to lean in and feel deeply.

RMS Trio

RMS Trio is drummer Alex Rusbarsky (R), bassist Ryan Meagher (M) and guitarist Matt Saunders (S). All three members grew up in Marin County and were friends as children but eventually went their separate ways, before reconnecting years later in Los Angeles. The sound they have developed can be described as a rich cosmic gumbo of country, blues, jazz, rock, funk, and everything in between, capped off with the ability to add spontaneity at any moment. They are known for their unique takes on covers in these genres as well as their forthcoming single “Calamari Strut”. Since forming in 2022, RMS Trio have played many storied venues in LA including Seven Grand, The Baked Potato, Maui Sugar Mill Saloon, Hinano Cafe and venues in the Bay Area including Mac's at 19 Broadway and Ranch Water. RMS Trio looks forward to bringing their full force rock and roll hootenanny stage show to you!
